Speaker: Beth Evans, EA
Beth has lived in the Asheville area since 1983. Beth is originally from Florida,
where she graduated from high school. Beth went to Asheville-Buncombe
Technical College and graduated in 1996 top of her class with an associates
degree in accounting. She is married to Vince Flauto since 2003 and they have
one son, Chris, who is currently serving in the United States Air Force.
Before opening Precision Accounting Services, Inc in 1998, Beth worked as a
controller of a commercial construction company, having worked her way up
from receptionist while attending college. When Precision Accounting Services
was born, Beth was the only staff member and started with one client.
Beth joined the Western Chapter of NCSA in 1997 as an Associate Member. In
1999, Beth became an Associate Member of the North Carolina Society of
Accountants. Then two years later upgraded to a Full Member. Beth has served
as the President of the Western Chapter too many times to count over the years,
as well as serving as all the other Officers in the Western Chapter. Beth has
served for the North Carolina Society of Accountants as a Board of Director for a
three-year term, one year on the nominating team, two years as Treasurer, and
currently Vice-President.
She earned various ACAT Certifications: Accredited Business Accountant,
Accredited Tax Preparer, and Accredited Tax Preparer. In 2007, Beth passed the
IRS SEE exam and acquired her Enrolled Agent Certificate with the IRS.
